How Much Time Will it Take?



It’s finally here! Time to dive into your roadmap to success. I’m going to go over what you can expect from this course and how it can help you grow your business. 

This is a boot camp style course, so it’s going to take up a good chunk of time. Running your business effectively means you either spend 6 months to a year learning how to do what you need, or you buckle down, commit for 6 weeks, to see the same results. You don’t have half a year to waste on getting your business going, and that’s why you’re here!

Here’s a realistic estimate of the time that to spend on the coursework each week

  1. 2 hours for consuming course content
  2. 1-1.5 hour engaging in the Facebook Group
  3. 90 minutes for the Q&A on Thursdays (as needed, not required)
  4. 6-8 hours for implementing course work (which is all activities you can do to actively market your business each week)

All content can be applied immediately to your business. The purpose of this boot camp isn’t only to teach – it’s to help you put what you’ve learned into action. No amount of time or money is worth it, no course is worth the investment if you don’t apply it. In my experience small business owners make the world’s best students, but we aren’t huge fans of implementation.   And that’s what I promise you. If you stick with the work, follow the plan, then you will see results. 

Thursday Meetings

Each Thursday at 1:00PM EST and 8:00PM EST we will host 90-minute zoom calls which will be shared into the group. This is where you can ask any questions that you have about the material. The calls will be recorded and available to watch as a replay. There are already events set up for the entire course. You can access all recordings in Unit 3 in the group. 

Catching Up

If you feel like you’re falling behind, don’t try to finish everything perfectly from the prior module, it's better to get something 50% done that you can use and then move on to the next module. Some of these activities will be ones you'll do over and over again, like making videos and creating ads, so you will get the practice you need over time. It’s more important for you to get through the material once with me and the peer mentors here, than it is for you to stay focused on a module and not have the opportunity to ask the questions you need to.

Though it would be a lot easier if everything was easily available to listen to, it is absolutely critical that you focus entirely on the coursework. For self directed training, having audio files you can listen to while doing other things makes perfect sense, but for this course, it does require dedicated time and effort, and I want to be sure that you are set up for success from the get go, so no overall recordings are provided. 

Time Commitment

Before I started Direct to Success, I was selling clothing and just about to enter a deep depression (I didn’t know that at the time, it’s only now that I can see that’s when it started) and I honestly did not have the time or the emotional bandwidth to add in that much extra work.

But I knew if I didn’t commit to doing it now, and dive in, that next year I’d be in the exact same place as I was right then, still talking about all the things that I know I need to do to build my business. I devoted myself for 6 weeks. I woke up early and went to bed late. I focused my energy on just getting through the training, implementing every single thing, and forcing my way through it, knowing that at the end of the experience I would feel so much less pressure because all these projects that had been hanging over my head for months would get checked off the list.

I wasn’t paying only for the information, I was paying for getting all the shit I needed to done FAST.

You can do it slower if you like, that’s totally a thing, and you won’t be any less off for it, but be aware that the pressures of checking these items off your list may last longer than the 6 weeks that I committed to.
